Children Pottery Painting Party

REF: pp-party

Our pottery painting parties mean that you don't have to worry about anything. We will run the pottery painting party at home or at your chosen venue, and keep the kids entertained for up to 1 ½ hours before handing over to you to do the food or cake if you choose to.

So what happens at a Cherished China pottery painting party?

  • We show the children what they can choose to decorate, and demonstrate different design ideas, and explain the firing process

  • The children design and decorate their chosen pottery item

  • The children then help by painting birthday party tile for the birthday child as a present from Cherished China and their friends.

  • Over to you to finish the party with cake and snacks, or a birthday party tea.

What do you need to provide?

  • The venue

  • Table and chairs for the children to work on

  • Access to water

  • Your choice of refreshments

Product Details:

The choice of pottery is subject to availability.   Most popular choices include plates, mugs, bowls, trinket boxes, figurines, name or door plaques, jugs, vases or pen pots.  Other items may be available on request, or speak to us if you would like to theme your party.

The price includes up to 10 children, (additional children are charged at £14.50pp) a dedicated member of staff to run the party for you, the use of all sponges, stencils and books, paints, glaze and firing and delivery of the pottery back to you at a pre-arranged time.  Depending on where you would like the party, there may be a surcharge to cover the extra mileage, or delivery of the pottery back to you.  There is usually no extra charge if your party is within a 35 mile radius of Newbury.

Once the pottery is returned to you, it is suitable for use at home.  It is food-safe although we recommend hand washing, and that it is not put in the oven, microwave or freezer due to the absorbent nature of the pottery.  Very hot and cold temperatures are likely to craze the glaze, or even cause the pottery to crack; microwaving will heat up the pottery often quicker and hotter than the food or drink contained in it!
